Course Description
Workplace conflict is rarely just about personalities. More often, it comes from unclear priorities, competing demands between teams, limited time and resources, and communication that happens mostly in writing across different time zones. When these issues aren’t addressed, they can lead to missed deadlines, frustration, disengagement, repeated disagreements, and people leaving the team.

This workshop gives participants a shared way to understand and talk about conflict, along with a few practical frameworks they can use to handle the kinds of challenges teams face every day. It’s focused on real workplace situations, not generic communication tips.

Lauren Remple, MA
Lauren is the founder and Principal Consultant of Sequoia Collaboration and Consulting, an organization committed to contributing to a more equitable and inclusive world. She has over 16 years of experience in human resources, Indigenous engagement and equity, diversity and inclusion predominantly within the post-secondary, telecommunications and energy sectors. Lauren is Cree and of mixed- European ancestry and is a proud citizen of Alexander First Nation in Treaty 6 territory.

Lauren uses a values-centric and intersectional approach to program development and project management and is guided by the ethical principles of reciprocity, responsibility, relevance and
respect. Lauren holds a Master of Arts in Global Leadership from Royal Roads University and has lived in treaty 7 in Calgary for her entire life. She and her partner enjoy spending time outdoors with their two children and two golden retrievers.
