The Upstream Petroleum Industry is a complex mixture of technical and non-technical disciplines. A consequence is that many people employed with oil companies, and related businesses which service the oil industry, do not understand the basic fundamentals and terminology.

This popular two-day course was first designed for the Indonesian Petroleum Association in Jakarta. It is designed to familiarize non-technical personnel in the petroleum and related government, financial, legal, and service industries with the basics of the upstream (E and P) petroleum industry via slide presentations and video clips.

Learning Objectives

Non-mathematical in its treatment of technical aspects, this course will inspire understanding and confidence in company personnel wanting to learn the basics of the modern Upstream Petroleum Industry.

Who Should Attend
The course is designed for anyone in the oil and gas industry who does not have a technical background. Previous attendees have come from accounting, legal, IT, land, PR and administrative backgrounds.

It is important for non technical personnel to understand the whole picture to realize the significance of their contribution in terms of their company’s objectives. The knowledge learned from this seminar is immediately transferable to the working environment.

"Easton is one of the best presenters I have ever met! He is very charismatic, personable and approachable! I have learned so much about not only the main course topic, but the politics and financials that play a part as well. The course material was relevant, engaging and honestly I am disappointed it is over. Great experience and very beneficial for my next and even current role."
