The purpose of this seminar is to increase the skill and knowledge of Engineers, Managers and Operators in ABSA (Alberta Boilers Safety Association), and Safety Code requirements in Alberta Oil and Gas industries.

Seminar Objectives
The overall objective of this seminar is to give students a background in:

1. ABSA requirements for Design, Fabrication, Construction, Welding, Inspection, In-service Inspection of Pressure Equipment.

2. Interfaces between ABSA and AER (Alberta Energy Regulator)

Who Should Attend

Amin Sabzevari, P.Eng. CRM
Amin Sabzevari is a professional Mechanical Engineer, and certified Carbon Reduction Manager with more than 20 years of field and EPCM experience.

Amin has successfully executed mechanical scopes of work as well as methane reduction projects in both green-field and brown-field applications across 3 continents (Asia, Middle east and North America) for:

  • Conventional Oil
  • Gas Process Facilities
  • SAGD
  • Open-Pit Heavy Oil
  • Petrochemical Processes
  • Off-Shore Platforms
  • Power Generations.

  • Remediation of abundant mine

Amin brings extensive knowledge of ASME pressure vessel and piping codes, API codes, TEMA as well as ABSA TSBC, AER regulations and procedures to the courses that he teaches.



Amin has received a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Shiraz University, and is a member of APEGA, Engineers and Geoscientists of BC, Engineer Yukon and AEE.
