Course Description
This intensive 1-day course is customized and designed for practitioners, Engineers, and specialists who work in EPC companies and/or operating companies to familiarize them with API 682 Mechanical Seal principals and concepts used mainly in the centrifugal pumps.

This course is designed to help participants learn more about engineering/design, manufacturing, tests, inspection, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting features of Mechanical Seals installed in API 610 Pumps. It is a seminar-style course with significant class time discussion.

Preparation for the class will be important for all participants who want to benefit fully from the course by advance reviewing of class notes and references. The course is based on API 682 and practical case studies to assist attendees improve both their academic and practical experiences. The course blends design and engineering subjects, with manufacturing, test/inspection, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting and issues of the Mechanical Seal.

A complete set of course materials and lunch is included in this course.

Students may bring their own copies of API 610, 11th Edition and API 682, 4th Edition to this course
