Course Description
This half-day course is for technical personnel involved in the selection and operation of Pumps in the Oil and Gas Processing facilities. The course is a basic introduction to both Centrifugal and Reciprocating Pumps and does briefly include some good operating practices to improve Pump longevity, safety and operating costs.

Instructor 
Nev Hircock, PEng.Nev Hircock is a Mechanical Engineering graduate of Cambridge UK and has over 32 years Oil and Gas experience since coming to Calgary. Nev has worked some 17 years with Dome and Amoco in both Project and Process Engineering capacities and since 1994 has been an independent Engineering Consultant specializing in Process and Environmental Engineering. He has been particularly involved in the efficient operation of Gas Processing Plants and associated rotating machinery such as compressors and aerial coolers. Nev has been giving seminars on many aspects of Gas Plant design and optimization for the past 30 years and has had numerous papers published with the Gas Processors Association in Western Canada and the Laurence Reid Gas Conditioning Conference of the USA.
